Kosovo parties form coalition

Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) and New Kosovo Alliance (AKR) have reached an agreement to form future Kosovo government, it was announced in Pristina. LDK and AKR leaders Hashim Thaci and Beghjet Pacolli will work together on creating an efficient, transparent, democratic and multi-ethnic government, the announcement reads. Kosovo parties form coalition According to the announcement, their goal is to provide Euro-Atlantic future to Kosovo. Both leaders have expressed political will to work together in order to form new institutions as soon as possible after early parliamentary elections which were held on December 12. According to preliminary results, Pacolli’s party came fifth in the elections. The media in Pristina announced possible coalition with Ramush Haradinaj’s Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), but AAK high officials have denied such possibility. According to preliminary results, the PDK won majority of votes – 33.5 percent. Kosovo Central Election Commission (CEC), however, decided two days ago to completely repeat the election process in three municipalities and partially in two due to recorded irregularities. Some parties have requested that the voting be repeated in all municipalities in Kosovo.
