The NIS board of directors on Friday elected board member and Vice-President (Finance) of JSC Gazpromneft Vadim Yakovlev as its chairman. This is an important step towards strengthening the level of representation of Gazpromneft's top leadership in the management team of NIS, the company said in a statement. NIS gets new board of directors chairman At the same meeting, Dmitry Malyshev resigned from the post of the chairman and the from the board. NIS was acquired by Russian Gazprom's oil operation Gazpromneft earlier this year. Previously, the company was Serbia's state-run oil monopoly.
