PM addresses issue of "exchange of letters"

PECINCI PM Ivica Dacic says that the exchange of letters on "integrated management of crossings" will not cause any immediate changes on the administrative crossings. He was referring to the checkpoints located between the majority-Serb northern part of Kosovo and central Serbia. PM addresses issue of "exchange of letters" Speaking to reporters during the groundbreaking ceremony for a new Bosch plant in the town of Pecinci, Dacic noted that the move had cleared the way for "discussions, and concrete implementation of what had been agreed". The prime minister added that Serbia was given the status of EU candidate "thanks to the initialing of the integrated crossings management and the agreement on Kosovo's representation in regional gathering". He noted that the deal had been initialed by former Belgrade chief negotiator Borislav Stefanovic in February, but that "Belgrade did not inform Brussels that this had been done". According to Dacic, there is "no other way out for Serbia but to respect that had previously been agreed", while his cabinet's coalition agreement also determined that "what the previous government agreed to would be respected".
