"More people should be tried for war crimes"
Belgrade Center for Human Rights Director Vojin Dimitrijević says that even after the arrest of Goran Hadžić, many more people should answer for war crimes.

Belgrade Center for Human Rights Director Vojin Dimitrijevic says that even after the arrest of Goran Hadzic, many more people should answer for war crimes. According to him, Serbia did not finalize its cooperation with the Hague Tribunal, because it has the obligation to exchange information, send documents and help of the tribunal in disputes before domestic courts. "More people should be tried for war crimes" Dimitrijevic specified that the court based in The Hague now received "some difficutl cases and that it will be busy for years", but that there were a great number of people who should answer before national courts. "That tribunal was founded only because nobody here wished to prosecute anyone and it has now been reduced only to the biggest personalities. There are many more people who should be held responsible." "I hope they will answer in front of the courts in each of the states that have jurisdiction over them, but those courts will to a high degree have to depend on the material gathered at the Tribunal," said Dimitrijevic.
