Deputy PM Bozidar Djelic says that it is very important for the process of EU integrations that media in Serbia report news truthfully. He said that the media in modern democratic society were nobody’s instrument but participants in society. “It’s important to report news truthfully” “Media are here to tell people the truth about what is going on and to point to what needs to and can be better. That way society and leading people’s attention is directed to those issues,” Djelic told the press conference. He held a lecture at a two-day seminar for editors of domestic media “Together toward sustainable development” in Banja Koviljaca. The seminar on national strategy for sustainable development is organized by Djelic’s cabinet and supported by the Independent Association of Journalists of Serbia (NUNS), Rockefeller Foundation, Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) and Balkan Community Initiatives Fund (BCIF).
