The Serbian parliament members have mostly accepted an invitation to travel to northern Kosovo on Feb. 17. The Kosovo Serb municipalities have asked MPs to be in Zvecan on that day, which marks one year since Kosovo's Albanians unilaterally declared independence. MPs travel to Kosovo on Feb. 17 They will attend a session of the Assembly of the Serb Municipalities in Kosovo. Speaker Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic said that parliament will first briefly meet in Belgrade on Tuesday for a vote. Afterwards, transportation will be provided for all MPs who wish to travel to Kosovo. Opposition Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS), Serb Radical Party (SRS), New Serbia (NS) MPs have confirmed they will be in Kosovo on Tuesday, as have ruling Socialists (SPS), United Serbia (JS), several G17 Plus lawmakers and Minister for Kosovo Goran Bogdanovic from the ranks of the Democrats (DS). Opposition Liberal-Democrats (LDP) said they are considering whether to go, since they have "no members in the [Parliamentary] Committee for Kosovo and Metohija", Beta news agency reported.
