"I love how everybody who has a government job in Serbia loves to travel. Jeremic travels across the world, MPs travel to Kosovo once a year, Kostunica constantly travels with his mouth etc. Yet absolutely nothing gets achieved. Lord what a waste.

you forgot one most important achievement -- Kosovo remains outside the UN.

What visit is that if they are only going to be in the northern part, where is the fun? Come over to Prishtina and celebrate with us, drinks are on me =)

I would like to go to both "North" and "South" but this time I am very busy with the work. Besides, in this economic situation we cut as much as possible.

Not sure, the issue is safe tough. In the North there will be a lot of frustration and possibly some issues with security. In the South Albanians will celebrate as usual by mass-firing their guns - an other dangerous thing.

Otherwise best wishes for your private lives, but there is much more ahead to do than what it was. For Serbs, too of course. Was that declaration of (in)dependence a good or bad thing is an other question, here you know my stance. But separate the politics from privacy, so if you want to celebrate, good luck, stay happy (and play safe with these goddamn guns I hate so much... But I am not the one who can convince you to get rid of guns).

A showing at a small Serbian Enclave is a statement to the world, true.
The statement is we have lost the bulk of Kosovo, our only hope is to salvage a small part that is of Serb majority.
A big meeting in Pristina would be show, this is waving a white flag.

If UNMIK is OK with this, the Serbian MP is welcome!
(Ron, 15 February 2009 16:36)

I laugh at your understanding of UNMIK as occupying force that douesn't care about the people's will that is governiing.

The dictator UNMIK ;)) I guess you will find many other that agree with you on this.. perheps... ;))

I feel that not only a visit, but official working sessions of the Serbian Parliament need to be held in the SERBIAN province of Kosovo for several reasons:

1) It gives concrete evidence to the rest of the world that the Serbian government has the will and the right to convene in official session anywhere in THEIR own country;
2) It would show solidarity and conviction of the Serbian government, and the people, to Serbia's southern province; and
3) It would bring many of the MP's down from their "sterile, ivory towers" in Beograd to the real situation on the ground.
And with enough news and media coverage, Thaci and company, as well as the US, UK and would feel the political embarrassment. Guys and gals- it's a win-win situation!!!

Welcome MP's and celebrate independence with us Albanians, just like you did last year!

Man, you guys have no imagination to think of new things to do even though you've had an entire year to prepare. LOL.
