The bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) headed by Serbian Patriarch Irinej, have read the Easter message to the clergy and believers. The message invites the “spiritual children” to preserve their faith not by words but through their life and deeds. Patriarch Irinej in Easter message Patriarch Irinej read the Easter message for the media in the Serbian Patriarchate which will be broadcasted eve of the Easter. The Serbian bishops send greetings particularly to their brothers and sisters in Kosovo and Metohija calling on unity and brotherly love. The message will be read first at the Saturday midnight services and then at liturgies in all SPC churches in Serbia and the world at the very day of Easter. Serbia's Christians today mark Good Friday. Easter is a public holiday celebrated for four days, Friday through Monday.
