The north African country is seeing mass demonstrations and unrest that has claimed more than a hundred lives so far.

A group of tourists and several other Serbians who found themselves in Egypt are set to return to Belgrade this afternoon. Milica Žarković of the Kontiki travel agency says their clients are returning as scheduled, on the last day of their vacation.

Meanwhile, the embassy in Cairo is in contact with Serbian citizens who work in Egypt, said reports.

Serbian Ambassador Dejan Vasiljević said they are "discussing a possible evacuation", and added that most Serbians in Egypt live in Cairo.

"From the security point of view, the situation is worsening, and this is why we must consider this possibility," said Vasiljević.
