The drugs were seized at a customs checkpoint on the Merdare administrative line crossing, located between Kosovo and central Serbia.

The drugs were found in a red suitcase that none of the passengers claimed when the officers conducted a detailed search of a Vranje number plates bus traveling from Brezovica to Belgrade.

Beside the 6.1 kilograms of marijuana, divided into six packages found in two bags, the suitcase contained "items of children's clothing."

"Since the suitcase had not been given to the driver as a package to be delivered - and he was not able to remember any of the passengers bringing it with them - the investigation has been handed over to the police and the prosecution, along with the marijuana that has been discovered," said the Customs.
