Serbian currency continues to strengthen

The dinar went up by 0.2 percent or RSD 0.28 against the euro on Monday, with the middle exchange rate at RSD 120.4060 for one euro, the central bank said.

Serbian currency continues to strengthen

The indicative exchange rate with the US dollar dropped by 0.1 percent, to USD 1 = RSD 98.9205.

The dinar dropped 2.1 percent on a monthly and 15.7 percent on a yearly basis compared to the dollar.

The dinar's middle value was at its highest this year on January 1, when EUR 1 = RSD 114.6421, and lowest on December 18, when EUR 1 = RSD 122.6321.

The NBS has bought EUR 260 million and sold EUR 1.745 billion since the start of the year to control the daily volatility of the dinar.
