Bosnian Presidency chair praises Vucic's hospitality

Covic told Banja Luka-based daily Nezavisne Novine that the visit by the Presidency to Belgrade two days before “left no one indifferent.”

“It was a very warm visit and in just a few hours, we have shown that we can pursue politics in a different way,” he said.

“Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina have caught a good rhythm, rising above their history and turning to the future,” said Covic.

Covic said that some ministries and working groups were now beginning to work on agreed projects, which should be presented at a conference on the Western Balkans in Vienna on August 27.

He confirmed that the officials of the two countries had touched on the issue of the Serb Republic's plans to hold a referendum on the Bosnian Court and Prosecutor's Office.

"I am confident that the issue of independence of the judiciary in Bosnia-Herzegovina should be resolved first and that it would then render holding the referendum in the RS unnecessary," said Covic.
