Belgrade negotiating team head Borislav Stefanovic has denied that the issue of electricity bills of residents of north Kosovo will be discussed with Pristina. “It is not true that electric energy unpaid bills will be subject of the upcoming talks in Brussels,“ he pointed out. "Electricity bills won't be discussed in Kosovo dialogue" Stefanovic stressed that unpaid electricity bills were not envisaged by the plan and that it was obvious that Pristina team head Edita Tahiri, who has announced that the issue will be discussed and that Serbian government should pay the bills, was using every opportunity to contribute to better position of herself and the Pristina team. According to him, Tahiri wants to convince Kosovo public that it is necessary to continue the negotiations with Belgrade and that they are going to their advantage. Belgrade and Pristina have so far reached agreements on freedom of movement, birth registries and recognition of university diplomas. According to Kosovo government’s announcement, Belgrade and Pristina will during the sixth round of talks discuss telecommunications, energy, free trade and the cadastre. Tahiri said earlier that Pristina would request from the Serbian government to pay north Kosovo citizens’ unpaid electricity bills. Borislav Stefanovic (Tanjug)
