As a consequence, none of them arrived at the crime scene at immediately after the attack.

“Police failed to abide by the Criminal Procedure Act, as it did not notify the attendant judges and prosecutors and demand that they examine the scene of the incident,” Belgrade Municipal Prosecutor’s Office chief prosecutor Gordana Čolić said.

She added her deputy received a notification of the attack on Saturday, a day after the incident took place, stressing the fact that according to the Criminal Procedure Act the prosecutor was the one in charge of the police investigation.
