Two inmates escape Belgrade's high security prison

Two inmates on Thursday escaped from the Central Prison in Belgrade, one of the country's top security jails, the daily Blic is reporting.

According to the report, the pair escaped from the kitchen where they worked as support staff.

The inmates cut through the bars on a storage room window, escaped into the prison yard, and then jumped over the prison's fence.

The jail's administration has informed the police of this event, the newspaper said.
