Residents of the town of Zubin Potok today blocked entry into the local police station, protesting the rotation of police commanders in northern Kosovo.

Residents of the town of Zubin Potok today blocked entry into the local police station, protesting the rotation of police commanders in northern Kosovo. Main streets in the town are also blocked and no incidents have been reported, the Kosovo police, KPS, told Tanjug. Zubin Potok Mayor Slavisa Ristic told Tanjug that people blocked the entrance to the police station after it was announced that the local police commander could be transfered today. The people are supporting the decision of the local assembly which concluded that consent from local authorities in northern Kosovo was needed to go ahead with the rotation. In the rotation, northern Kosovska Mitrovica police commander Bratislav Kragovic was to be transferred to Jarinje, Nenad Djuric from Zvecan to Leposavic, Dragan Stefanovic from Leposavic to northern Kosovska Mitrovica, and Drazo Bozovic from Zubin Potok to the regional police headquarters in northern Kosovska Mitrovica.
