Bojan Kostreš, deputy President of the League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina, marked the Kosovo issue as a milestone in the process of post-electoral negotiations, adding that the parties’ stance on the Kosovo situation will decide the government’s fate.

There’s a realistic chance that Serbia could again fall prey to erroneous policies, which would alienate Serbia from EU integration, given that DSS is calling for a halt in diplomatic relations.

Kostreš criticized Koštunica for his refusal to receive UN Special Envoy to Kosovo Martti Ahtisaari, calling such behavior from the Prime Minister intolerable.

“The Kosovo issue will be resolved in the months to come, with or without Serbia’s involvement”, Kostreš said, calling on Boris Tadić to seriously consider who he will entrust with the mandate to form the government.
