DUBLIN Serbian Foreign Minister Ivan Mrkic talked with his counterpart Vesna Pusicc in Dublin on Friday. Pusic said that people in Croatia were aware of the crimes that were committed during the Operation Storm and that measures would be taken against the perpetrators. Serbian FM meets with Croatian counterpart in Dublin “Taking into consideration the circumstances created by the bias of the Hague Tribunal and the atmosphere that arose as a result, the meeting was good and focused on the fields of cooperation that could be in the interest and to the benefit of both countries,” the Serbian Foreign Ministry has announced. According to the release, Mrkic and Pusic reached an agreement on what further steps in the EU integration process would be and discussed future visits, that will be followed by a meeting between the prime ministers of the two states. It was also agreed to carry out appropriate procedures for joint projects of border cooperation between the Serbian and Croatian municipalities. On the second day of the meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Dublin, the Serbian delegation headed by Mrkic had a number of consultations with regard to Serbia's future chairmanship of the organization. The Serbian foreign minister had a separate meeting with Eamon Gilmore, Ireland's deputy prime minister and foreign minister, during which they discussed bilateral issues, and agreed on cooperation in view of Ireland's future EU Presidency that the country is to assume on January 1, 2013. Mrkic also conferred with OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities Knut Vollebaek, OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier, and had particularly fruitful talks with head of Lithuania's delegation Evaldo Ignataviciaus.
