“Enable Belgrade to solve Kosovo problem”

State Secretary in the German Foreign Minister Werner Hoyer said that the climate must be created for making it easier for Belgrade to solve the Kosovo problem. Hoyer said in an interview with Deutsche Welle that Belgrade, Pristina and Russia will have an influence on the solving of the Kosovo question, but that Russia and the international community will cooperation through the framework of the OSCE. “Enable Belgrade to solve Kosovo problem” “As far as Kosovo is concerned, I do not see a solution yet, but I also do no believe that it is exclusively in the hands of Belgrade. It is also in the hands of Kosovo and Moscow and in the general climate of a new beginning of international cooperation within the OSCE; I think that this is a way that the climate can be created for making it easier on Belgrade to solve the problem,” Hoyer said. Speaking of Serbia’s cooperation with the Hague Tribunal, he said that the European Union and international community stated clearly what they expect from the cooperation, adding that Serbia has “professionalism and potential which will overcome the problems which are historically and psychologically very difficult.” Hoyer spoke on the coming visa liberalization, stating that the citizens, who will be able to travel freely soon, will be able to get better acquainted with how the democratic system functions in the West.
