BELGRADE Prime Minister Ivica Dacic stated on Tuesday that Serbia needs peace, stability and economic development. He called on everyone "to contribute to achievement of the goals which are at the same time the aims of the government." PM: We need peace, stability, development Dacic underscored that the Christmas message which promotes peace is the main message of Serbia's government. “We want for Serbia to develop and grow stronger every year and we want the country to be respected,” the prime minister said following the Christmas liturgy in the Belgrade Cathedral Church. According to Dacic, Serbian citizens need to believe in themselves more and respect themselves more so that Serbia would win greater respect worldwide. “This is why the presence of top government officials both in the Cathedral Church and in Kosovo and Metohija is highly important,” Dacic said. He recalled that Serbian First Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic is visiting Gracanica for Christmas and that top officials will always stand by the side of their people. Dacic announced that he would visit the Serb entity in Bosnia, RS, on January 9 to mark its patron saint day. He noted that Christmas, as the most joyous Christian holiday, offers a chance to call on Serbs to demonstrate unison and a wider agreement and unity on some of the most vital issues.
