NBS foreign currency reserves reach EUR 10.38bn

The foreign currency reserves of the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) were up by EUR 417.2mn in July reaching EUR 10.38bn, the central bank stated on Friday.

The foreign currency reserves of the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) were up by EUR 417.2mn in July reaching EUR 10.38bn, the central bank stated on Friday. This was mostly the result of the inflow of funds collected by the sale of Serbia's state securities that amounted to EUR 138.4mn. NBS foreign currency reserves reach EUR 10.38bn At the same time, the inflow of EUR 127.5mn came from interest rates while the banks were due to allocate the net amount of EUR 51.9mn based on the mandatory foreign currency reserves. During July, EUR 20.8mn was allocated from the foreign currency reserves for the payout of old foreign currency savings, and EUR 19.8mn for foreign creditors.
