The Socio-Economic Council is today due to draw up measures for tackling the financial crisis and for unfreezing parts of the Collective Agreement for 6 months. The proposal, which will be discussed today, was put forward after a series of talks over the contested provisions that refer exclusively to employers’ additional financial obligations, including hot meals, regress, overtime, and transport. Social partners to address Collective Agreement crisis As Labor Minister Rasim Ljajic said earlier, it was agreed that the effects of the world crisis would be monitored on a regular basis over the course of those six months, and should the situation change, the Council could alter its decision before the expiry of the stipulated six-month period. President of the Independent Trade Union Ljubisav Orbovic said that the social partners would be reanalyzing and concluding sectoral collective agreements over those six months.
