BELGRADE Presidential advisor Marko Djuric, has urged the diplomatic representatives of the countries that have not recognized Kosovo not to change their stance. Countries urged not to recognize Kosovo During a briefing with the diplomats on Wednesday at the Palace of Serbia, Djuric reiterated that Serbia will never recognize Kosovo's unilateral declaration of independence. He underlined that in spite of "tendentious interpretations" - which he said "have been present in the domestic and the world public" - Serbia will certainly not change its principled position in terms of non-recognition of Kosovo as an independent state. Djuric particularly underlined that putting the latest Brussels agreement in such a context "does not contribute to reaching a comprehensive and sustainable solution for the Kosovo issue and lasting stability of the entire region." He informed the diplomats about the latest developments in terms of the resolution of the Kosovo abd Metohija issue, and gave them detailed information about the dialogue with the interim self-government institutions in Pristina and the challenges brought by the continuation of the dialogue and the implementation of the agreements that have been reached, a statement from the president's press service said. Djuric also thanked the officials for the principled stands of their countries not to recognize Kosovo's unilateral declaration of independence. During a briefing with the diplomats on Wednesday at the Palace of Serbia, Đurić reiterated that Serbia will never recognize Kosovo's unilateral declaration of independence.

He underlined that in spite of "tendentious interpretations" - which he said "have been present in the domestic and the world public" - Serbia will certainly not change its principled position in terms of non-recognition of Kosovo as an independent state.
