RS President Milorad Dodik has said that the greatest challenge has been to preserve the Serb entity (RS) in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Despite challenges and difficulties today, the Serb Republic is not in danger, he stated. "RS not under threat despite challenges" "Many naively believe that story to be over. Of course it is not. They are waiting for us to become careless, comfortable and self-content with what has been done," he stated commenting on the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Serb Republic. Dodik told the SRNA news agency that the RS would continue developing its institutions, regional and international position and become a definite factor in decision making. The RS is a lasting, undeniable community, and it cannot be challenged by the will of others, he said. "All those who insist that the Dayton Agreement be changed by force, or completely revoked, have to know that they are working to end Bosnia-Herzegovina, because the RS came to Dayton in 1995 being sovereign and signed all the annexes of the agreement as one of the sides, and it will continue existing with or without the Dayton Agreement," Dodik stressed. He underlined that one of the national priorities is to stop the attempt from Bosnia-Herzegovina and abroad to turn the RS and the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina "into a Srebrenica affair". "No one in their right mind can say there have not been terrible crimes there. But what about our victims, who also demand respect? Our victims were innocent as well. Their families have never seen those who have grieved them so put to trial," he pointed out. The Serb entity includes all the values that Serbs have fostered for centuries, like freedom, democracy, respect for others and different and the spirit of anti-fascism. Serbs paid a heavy price in the fight against fascism and Nazism, more than any other nation in this part of Europe, Dodik stated. Milorad Dodik (Tanjug, file) Tanjug
