U.S. Ambassador to Kosovo Tina Kaidanow said in Pristina yesterday that Kosovo must learn to uphold its multi-ethnic character. Kaidanow organized a reception at the U.S. diplomatic mission for officials from the provincial institutions, international community, the media and the non-governmental sector to celebrate American Independence Day. Coming to the end of her three-year mandate in the province, she urged the public to respect the provisions of the Ahtisaari plan not just because it was a commitment, but because by protecting and upholding the rights of others, they were ensuring their own success.
