No comments on Kosovo part of constitution
Even though the EU has shown its support for the adoption of a new constitution, it has not commented its contents.

No comments on Kosovo part of constitution
The EU Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn’s chief spokesperson, Christina Nagy, said that the EU cannot comment on this just yet.She reminded that the EU had called on Serbia earlier to revise its constitution in order to bring it into accordance with European standards. The European Commission cannot make any comments yet, because it must first receive a copy of the document in order to analyze it.
Nagy said that the European Commission’s opinions on the constitution will be stated in its regular report on November 8.
UNMIK Chief Joakim Ruecker said that the new Serbian constitution will not have any effect on the current status of Kosovo, because it was already determined in 1999 by the UN’s Resolution 1244. He added that the adoption of the constitution is a further confirmation of Serbia’s unwavering stances.
