Organizations gathering trade unions in Serbia yesterday organized a protest in the eastern town of Bor. Several thousand unions members, workers, pensioners and unemployed persons called for the withdrawal of the amendments to the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance from parliamentary procedure. Trade unions call for withdrawal of law The protest was organized by the Confederation of Autonomous Trade Unions of Serbia (SSSS). The protesters criticized the government's economic and social policy and urged all workers, the unemployed, retirees, women and young people to support their call for a referendum on the law.
