Five more people have been arrested in connection with the recent seizure of over two tons of cocaine in Uruguay, says the organized crime prosecutor.

Five more people have been arrested in connection with the recent seizure of over two tons of cocaine in Uruguay, says the organized crime prosecutor. Dejan M., Milos P., Radan A., Dragan L. and Milos K. were arrested yesterday as part of activities led by Special Prosecutor’s Office, the security services (BIA) and the Interior Ministry after the seizure of 2,200 kg of cocaine. Five more arrests in cocaine sting They are suspected of being members of an international organized crime group which acquired and transported cocaine from South America to Western Europe. They were remanded in custody for 48 hours after being questioned by police. At the orders of District Court Special Department, flats and other property belonging to the suspects have been searched. The police seized a BMW X6 jeep with Montenegro license plates and EUR 540,000 from one of the suspects.
