Bozidar Djelic denied that there were bounty hunters in Serbia and said the state would not allow anyone else to search for the Hague fugitives in its territory. At the Monday session of the European Integration Committee of the Serbian parliament, the deputy PM said that only the Serbian army and police have the monopoly of force and that no other party is entitled to interfere with their work. "No Mladic bounty hunters in Serbia" Earlier during the session, opposition SRS MP Momir Markovic claimed that the American company Blackwater, known for its controversial operations in Iraq, had sent its bounty hunters to Serbia. The government recently decided to offer EUR 10mn prize for information leading to the arrest of Ratko Mladic, and one million for his fellow fugitive Goran Hadzic. “The Hague issue should be viewed as the step towards lasting reconciliation in the region, and Serbia, as the region's biggest country, should lead the way,” Djelic underlined. Of the 46 Hague indictees, 44 have either turned themselves in or have been extradited by Serbia, with only Mladic and Hadzic still remaining at large.

Earlier during the session, opposition SRS MP Momir Marković claimed that the American company Blackwater, known for its controversial operations in Iraq, had sent its bounty hunters to Serbia.

The government recently decided to offer EUR 10mn prize for information leading to the arrest of Ratko Mladić, and one million for his fellow fugitive Goran Hadžić.

“The Hague issue should be viewed as the step towards lasting reconciliation in the region, and Serbia, as the region's biggest country, should lead the way,” Đelić underlined.

Of the 46 Hague indictees, 44 have either turned themselves in or have been extradited by Serbia, with only Mladić and Hadžić still remaining at large.
