Arrests after Serbia-Montenegro agreement

Interior Minister Ivica Dacic has stated that seven persons have been arrest in Serbia based on the extradition agreement signed between Serbia and Montenegro. Dacic told journalists that during Friday evening and Saturday morning, five persons were arrested in Montenegro based on the same agreement. Arrests after Serbia-Montenegro agreement Dacic underlined that out of seven persons arrest in Serbia, five were wanted on Interpol Podgorica charges of war crimes against civilians. He added that the apprehended persons faced an investigation judge, who imposed extradition custody upon them. Serbian Deputy War Crimes Prosecutor Bruno Vekaric told Tanjug earlier that based on the agreement, five persons have been apprehended in Serbia on suspicion of war crimes committed in Dubrovnik, Croatia, in early nineties. Serbian Minister of Justice Snezana Malovic and Montenegrin Ambassador to Serbia Igor Jovovic signed an agreement on mutual extradition of nationals in Belgrade on Friday evening four days earlier than previously arranged.
