The parliament speaker says there she and most parliamentary parties think the situation in Kosovo should be discussed by the Defense and Security Committee. Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic told Tanjug on Friday that the parliamentary Collegium which is scheduled to meet on Monday at the request of the Serb Radical Party (SRS) cannot call a parliamentary session on northern Kosovo. Security committee to discuss northern Kosovo The opposition can request a session and, according to the rules of procedure, it must be held, but the Collegium does not have the authority to make this decision. On Monday, we can discuss those issues which the parliamentary whips choose to bring forward, Djukic-Dejanovic said. She added that she and most whips agree that DS and LDP group chiefs Nada Kolundzija and Cedomir Jovanovic, as well as Chairman of the Committee Dusan Bajatovic should schedule a committee meeting with "an agenda appropriate to the parliamentary atmosphere and the real situation in northern Kosovo." Djukic-Dejanovic explained that the session requested by opposition parliamentary parties could take place, if there is an initiative in line with the rules of procedure. "I have an obligation to respect the rules of procedure.
