The Broadcasting Agency, RRA, council chief Nenad Cekic has been relieved of his duties today, Tanjug says. His deputy Aleksandar Vasic has also been removed from his position. Broadcasting agency chief sacked A member of the RRA, which regulates the media scene in Serbia, revealed that the duties of the council president and deputy will in the future be held by SPC dignitary Bishop Porfirije, and a former director of a Novi Sad television outlet, Goran Karadzic. No official reason for the dismissal has been given in the Tanjug report, but the news agency reminds of a recent controversial decision when Cekic first announced a public invitation to suggest new RTS management board members, to then back down under pressure from the state broadcaster and the public.

A member of the RRA, which regulates the media scene in Serbia, revealed that the duties of the council president and deputy will in the future be held by SPC dignitary Bishop Porfirije, and a former director of a Novi Sad television outlet, Goran Karadžić.

No official reason for the dismissal has been given in the Tanjug report, but the news agency reminds of a recent controversial decision when Cekić first announced a public invitation to suggest new RTS management board members, to then back down under pressure from the state broadcaster and the public.
