Epidemiologist Dr Predrag Kon and microbiologist and virologist Dr Milanko Sekler talked about the new strain of coronavirus, which many virologists called Frankenstein, in the morning program of TV Prva.

"The clear warning is not to be ignored just like that. The virus was discovered on November 11, and it was quickly given this worrying name," Kon said of allegations that it was Frankenstein and contained 32 mutations in spike protein alone. On the other hand, Dr Sekler was visibly annoyed by the epithets given to the new strain of the virus in such a short time. As he says, it takes time for us to know something more.

"If the WHO warns that there is not enough data, that there are a lot of mutations, but that we cannot influence how these mutations will affect the transmission of the virus, then why don't we transmit it in the media," says virologist Dr Milanko Sekler, visibly annoyed in the morning program. because, as he says, there was a lot of fuss and panic, and there is still no information.

Dr Danica Grujičić was hosted on the morning program of TV Prva and commented on the new strain of coronavirus. Grujicic is sure that we must learn to live with coronavirus. "How we fight it depends on science," she added, stating that there was no doubt whether people should be vaccinated.

"According to the Institute of Oncology, from January 1 to November 25, 65 people came to the Institute with a negative PCR test. After we tested them, it turned out that they were positive. Out of 65, only five people were completely vaccinated, and 60 were not vaccinated or were not fully vaccinated", says Grujicic.
