The daily Danas reported this on Friday, adding that the position had been vacant since mid-November, when Majda Krsikapa resigned.

Verka Atanaskovic was the acting director in the meanwhile.

Damnjanovic was selected by the Agency's Committee, which has been working in an incomplete composition for a long time. Namely, instead of nine, as stipulated by law, six members are participating in its work.

In addition to working in the past as the head of Babic's cabinet, Damnjanovic did the same job during the tenure of Zorana Markovic, Markovic was arrested in 2015 on suspicion of abuse of office that resulted in damages to the budget.
