BELGRADE Alfred Gusenbauer has accepted the offer by Serbia's Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic to become his adviser, Tanjug has learned. Gusenbauer is a former chancellor of Austria and consultant for a number of global companies. Ex-Austrian chancellor becomes adviser in Serbian govt. Vucic has reached an agreement with Gusenbauer and he is expected to arrive in Belgrade. According to earlier information, Gusenbauer would be involved in reforms and Serbia's promotion in the world, that is how to best present the Serbian government's achievements and gain support from the EU countries for Serbia's integration into the union. Gusenbauer said in a written statement for the APA news agency earlier he had received an offer from the Serbian government to become an adviser and that he saw it in a positive light. Gusenbauer works as an advisor for a series of companies across the world, including Novomatic and Equitas Capital, is on the managing board at Strabag and Signa Prime Selection AG, and has also advised Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank, the German WAZ Group, Alpine Bau GmbH, and President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.
