BUJANOVAC Serbian parliament Speaker Nebojsa Stefanovic visited Gendarmerie units in the Ground Safety Zone in the territory of the Bujanovac municipality on Wednesday. He stressed that Serbia did not want to be a source of new instability, but rather to contribute to overall stability in the region and Europe. Parliament speaker tours Ground Safety Zone Satisfied with the state of units he had visited, the parliament speaker said that Serbia was committed to peace and that Serbian units represented a factor of peace and stability in southern Serbia in the interest of all citizens. He noted that Albanian terrorists had targeted the police checkpoint in Dobrosin several times but that the Serbian forces thwarted all attempts at destabilizing peace in a professional and responsible way. “We will defend our territorial integrity by all diplomatic means at our disposal, and through dialogue, we will secure conditions for the best possible life of our people in Kosovo and Metohija,” Stefanovic concluded. With a view to learning more about living and working conditions there, the parliament speaker talked with members of the Gendarmerie and their chiefs in the Car, Breznica and Dobrosin bases who are spending the holidays working on complex and demanding tasks, the parliament announced.
