Hague Prosecutor Serge Brammertz made very clear remarks regarding Serbia's cooperation with the Tribunal. Work is still underway and the results achieved up to now are not enough, particularly with respect to the remaining two ICTY fugitives, the cabinet of EU Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fule released. Fule: Brammertz remarks very clear We understand that Brammertz had constructive meetings in Belgrade in mid-November. However, his report does not point to the number of actions Belgrade has undertaken in line with the recommendations he made in June, Fule said in an interview with the Belgrade-based daily Politika which was published on Tuesday. Fule estimated that other aspects of Serbia's cooperation are laudable and that the report should further stimulate and intensify the efforts of all Serbian institutions to implement the Office's recommendations. Political will and an improved operational approach will be vital for successful locating and arresting of the two fugitives, the cabinet of the EU Enlargement Commissioner issued. Presenting his regular semi-annual report on Serbia's cooperation with the ICTY before the UN Security Council on Monday, Brammertz qualified as good Serbia's cooperation with the Tribunal but said “there is still much left to be done and the progress must be faster.” The failure to capture Mladic and Hadzic remains one of the foremost concerns, he underlined and, in that sense, backed the policy of setting conditions for Belgrade - reports Tanjug.
