Serbian and Austrian interior ministers Ivica Dacic and Maria Fekter signed a bilateral protocol today in Belgrade. The protocol will enable for the implementation of the Agreement on Readmission. Serbia, Austria ink readmission agreement After the signing of the document at the Palace of Serbia, Dacic and Fekter told journalists that the cooperation between the two countries' police forces has been very good, and expressed hope that it would continue. "In the six months of the (EU) visa liberalization, there have been no negative trends in Austria," Fekter told reporters. The Austrian minister added that she welcomed the fact that illegal entries into her country and crime rate were on the decline, and said no Serbian citizens requested asylum there. After the ceremonies at the Palace of Serbia, Serbia's Interior Ministry (MUP) officials and their visiting Austrian counterparts headed for Batajnica, north of Belgrade, to the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit (SAJ) base.
