One person was shot and killed, and three were injured in two separate attacks in Belgrade on Monday night. At around midnight on Zrenjaninski road, on the northern outskirts of the city, 50 year-old Milenko Laskovic was killed while sitting in his automobile. One killed, three injured in attacks He was shot three times. At the same time, three persons were seriously injured after a car exploded in Zemun. According to B92’s sources, a bomb was placed under a Chevrolet owned by Nikola Sandulovic, and it was activated when he got inside the vehicle. Sandulovic owned a cafe in Belgrade. Unofficial reports states that the bomb was placed under the passenger seat of the car. Sandulovic was taken to the hospital with serious head injuries and later transferred to the orthopedic clinic for serious leg injuries. Two passers-by were also injured in the bomb attack. They are currently in stable condition, according to reports. The attack was not the first murder attempt on Sandulovic. A bomb was thrown into the yard of his home in February 2006, after which he offer EUR 100,000 through the media to anyone who had information on who ordered the attack. His name was found in the police “white book” after the 2003 Operation Storm, launched to combat organized crime in Serbia in the wake of the Djindjic assassination.
