Mirko Cvetkovic, ministers, members of Zoran Djindjic’s family and others have observed the sixth anniversary of the late prime minister’s assassination. The prime minister and other members of his cabinet placed a wreath in the forecourt of the government building, where Djindjic was killed six years ago. Dignitaries, citizens pay respects to Djindjic A minute’s silence was observed in honor of the murdered prime minister by Deputy Prime Minister Jovan Krkobabic, Ministers Dragan Sutanovac, Sasa Dragin, Mladjan Dinkic, Snezana Malovic, Diana Dragutinovic, Sulejman Ugljanin, Snezana Samardzic-Markovic and Svetozar Ciplic. Also in attendance were Ministers Srdjan Sreckovic, Rasim Ljajic, Tomica Milosavljevic, Zarko Obradovic, Petar Skundric, Slobodan Milosavljevic, Jasna Matic and their colleagues. The wreath carried the message: “To Dr. Zoran Djindjic, from the Republic of Serbia.” Flowers were placed on Djindjic’s grave by members of his family, high-ranking officials and representatives of the Democratic Party (DS) and other parties. Djindjic’s widow, Ruzica, his son, Luka, and President and DS leader Boris Tadic also laid flowers on his grave at the Avenue of Heroes in the New Cemetery, along with Cvetkovic and DS MPs Nada Kolundzija, Bojan Pajtic, Sutanovac, Dusan Petrovic, Oliver Dulic and Ciplic. Djindjic’s mother, Mila Djindjic, and sister, Gordana Filipovic, were the first to place flowers on the grave. This morning several other members of Djindjic’s government gathered around the grave of the assassinated prime minister, including Gordana Matkovic, Goran Pitic, Aleksandar Vlahovic, Gaso Knezevic, Slobodan Milosavljevic, Dragoslav Sumarac and Vojislav Milovanovic. Others who placed flowers on his grave included Dinkic, Tomica Milosavljevic, Verica Kalanovic, Jasna Matic, Samardzic-Markovic, Sreckovic, Dragutinovic, Goran Bogdanovic, Dragin, Savo Milosevic, Ruzica Sokic and Svetozar Cvetkovic. About 100 citizens waited to lay flowers on his grave at about 11:00 CET. (B92)
