European Commission Vice-President Jacques Barrot says that the speed of visa negotiations will depend entirely on Serbia herself. Barrot said that negotiations for scrapping the visa regime with Serbia depended on how fast Serbia satisfied all the necessary conditions. EC: Visa talks depend on Serbia After showcasing to officials in Belgrade the country’s “road map” for accession to the so-called White Schengen List, Barrot told B92 that he could not predict whether negotiations would be complete by the end of the year, as some domestic politicians had claimed. He said that the speed of talks would depend on Serbia’s readiness to meet all the conditions, including the issue of new passports, border control, cooperation with European security services, as well as tackling terrorism and organized crime.
