Dacic "reiterated the call, supported by the ministerial OSCE Troika in Belgrade last week, to all sides to fully and unconditionally respect the ceasefire, end all hostilities and implement all provisions of the Minsk agreements. "

“At this moment, it is essential for the political process to gain momentum, and I call all sides to invest all possible efforts towards that end,” the OSCE CiO said.

Dacic "underlined his full support for the activities of the Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine (SMM) and stressed the importance of safety of the SMM monitors, referring to several incidents of May 1-2 which put the monitors in eastern Ukraine in potentially dangerous situations."

The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) is "ready and determined to do everything it can within its mandate to support the implementation of the Minsk agreements and help put an end to the crisis in Ukraine," OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Ivica Dacic said in a telephone conversation with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

The two officials agreed that the February 12 Package of Measures for the implementation of the Minsk agreements is a chance for a peaceful resolution of the Ukrainian crisis which should not be missed, and for that reason, it is crucial for all sides to meet the obligations they assumed, the Serbian Foreign Ministry said on Sunday.

The OSCE CiO said that he expects the Trilateral Contact Group next week to discuss the steps that need to be taken in order to intensify the political process aimed at de-escalating the crisis, as agreed at a Ministerial meeting of the OSCE Troika in Belgrade on April 28.
