Human and Minority Rights Ministry and Interior Ministry will support the gay Pride Parade if LGBT community decides to organize it. This is according to Serbia's Human and Minority Rights Minister Svetozar Ciplic. Ministry to support Pride Parade He said that the situation had changed considerably compared to last September when the parade was canceled in Belgrade due to security concerns. “Court proceedings are being conducted against those who expressed opposition, who organized themselves and wanted to prevent the event, and those who threatened, and finally the environment has changed,” the minister pointed out. The Pride Parade was not held last year since the Interior Ministry assessed that it would not be able to prevent possible incidents if the manifestation was held at the plateau in front of the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade. Police suggested to the organizers to hold the parade at the Usce Park instead, but they refused.
