BELGRADE Serbia will not get a date for the start of the EU accession talks in June regardless of the outcome of the dialogue with Pristina, says Krstimir Pantic. “I think citizens should be openly told about this,” the Office for Kosovo deputy director told Radio Television of Serbia (RTS). “Serbia won’t get EU talks date regardless of negotiations” He expressed belief that Serbia would be denied the date even if an agreement on a community of Serb municipalities was reached. Pantic explained that he had arrived at the conclusion after talks with German MPs who visited Belgrade in late March and presented their list of expectations from Belgrade in the EU integration process. He noted that Pristina was not ready to negotiate and reach a solution and that it had the U.S. and EU’s support. The eighth round of the Belgrade-Pristina talks ended without an agreement late on Tuesday. Krstimir Pantic (Beta, file) B92 RTS Tanjug
