BELGRADE The continuation of the Belgrade-Pristina on a political level is excellent news, French Ambassador to Serbia Francois Xavier Deniau has stated. However, he added that concrete results were necessary based on which the Council of Ministers could in December note that progress had been made. French ambassador: Ball is in Serbia’s court Deniau stressed that Serbia had gotten a list of conditions in December 2011 and that the European Commission would be able to propose the Council of Ministers to start the accession talks with Serbia as soon as the conditions were fulfilled. “The ball is in your court. The sooner you fulfill the conditions, the sooner the European Commission would take a note of it and propose the start of the negotiations,” the French ambassador explained. He welcomed the continuation of the dialogue on a technical level but pointed out that this was not enough and that results were necessary. “From what I hear from the Serbian authorities, it will be hard to fulfill all condition by December but I think that the Council will be able to notice progress in the dialogue and if it is confirmed, the Council will put it in its conclusions,” Deniau said.
