Republic of Srpska (RS) President Milorad Dodik has stated that a resolution of the Croat National Assembly, adopted on Wednesday, is not an act against RS. The Croat National Assembly was reestablished in Mostar on Wednesday, and nearly 500 elected Croat officials requested that the Croats be put on an equal footing with the other two constituent peoples in Bosnia-Herzegovina, the Bosniaks and the Serbs, and that the country be divided into at least three semi-autonomous regions. “Croat resolution not act against RS” The participants announced that they would not recognize the government in the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina, formed by the Social Democratic Party (SDP) without including the largest Croat parties, and requested constitutional changes which would ensure an equal status for the Croats as enjoyed by the Bosniaks and the Serbs. The Croat leaders in Bosnia-Herzegovina requested the establishment of at least one federal unit predominantly populated by Croats. Pointing out that Croat politicians have a right to state their positions, Dodik told the journalists in Banja Luka that he saw no threat to RS in any part of that document.
