Serbian President Boris Tadic will pay a one-day official visit to Kazakhstan and confer with his counterpart Nursultan Nazarbayev on Thursday. According to the announcement of the Serbian president's press office, Tadic will also meet with Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Masimov and Chairman of the Majilis, the lower house of the bicameral Parliament of Kazakhstan, Ural Mukhamedzhanov. Tadic to visit Kazakhstan on Thursday Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, announced Tadic's visit as an event which could open new possibilities in the bilateral relations, and provide an impetus to promotion of political dialogue, and economic and cultural relations between the two countries. Kazakhstan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the signing of several documents on fostering of bilateral cooperation and holding a round table of the Kazakh and Serbian businessmen. Tadic's visit will be particularly important for the development of economic cooperation with Kazakhstan, which, according to experts in the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, could become a very important market for Serbia. At the moment, the two countries have low trade volume with a permanent deficit on the Serbian side.
