The Serbian parliament session has begun on Thursday with MPs' questions to the government representatives. After this, the proposed legal solutions on stimulating the construction industry will be considered. Session begins with MP questions There are 20-odd proposed amendments to the bill on stimulating Serbia's construction industry in the conditions of the economic crisis. The bill is to enable the overcoming of negative effects of the economic crisis in that area. The proposed legal solutions envisage that the Serbian government, at the suggestion of authorized ministries and local self-governments, should determine the list of projects for construction, reconstruction and restoration which will be partly or entirely financed from the republic budget. The construction companies allowed to participate in the realization of these projects are those which are seated in Serbia, have proper experience and references and employ a large number of people. The projects whose realization is financed and realized in accordance with the proposed bill refer to the construction of schools and kindergartens, hospitals and other health care institutions, apartments, sports and other public facilities.
