Albanian Foreign Minister Lulzim Basha says it is the authorities in Belgrade that are to blame for constant tensions in Kosovo. He mentioned the tension in the divided northern town of Kosovska Mitrovica. Albanian FM accuses Serbia over Kosovo "An attempt to prevent the integration of Serbs into the institutions and the social life of Kosovo is a true threat to the stability of Pristina," he told Italy's ANSA news agency, to add that "Kosovo's independence should never have been brought into question". The neighboring country's FM also sent a message to Belgrade to "accept the new political reality that was the only solution for the stability of the Balkans and for creating conditions to open the doors of European integrations for Serbia and Kosovo". Basha also stated that "Albanians and Serbs living together in Kosovo still seems very difficult, but not impossible". The Albanian minister believes that in the past ten years, Kosovo made "unthinkable success", while NATO's attacks on Serbia were "started to stop the ethnic cleansing that the Serbian army and police were perpetrating".
