The Serb Radicals (SRS) have denounced the latest moves by the Hague Tribunal in the process against the party leader. The SRS has protested over Tribunal’s intention to impose a lawyer to Vojislav Seselj's defense. Radicals lash out at Hague Secretary General Aleksandar Vucic said in Belgrade today that such behavior of the prosecution and the trial chamber was barbaric and anti-judicial. Vucic told journalists in a press conference that the prosecution intended to impose a lawyer on Seselj, because they suffered a complete failure in the trial thus far. He said that the 38 witnesses who testified so far either did not incriminate Seselj or did not have any evidence to support their statements. Vucic also said that Seselj has one month to respond to the prosecution’s request and that he intends to do so, but that he will not participate in the trial if a defense lawyer were to be imposed. The SRS official added that Seselj will fight the court’s intention "as hard as he can even if the price to pay was his life”.
